STMicroelectronics 新式 Nucleo 开发板 撑持开发及评价 ST 的 32 位 STM32 微操控器。此新式开发板具有其他微操控器开发生态体系所不具有的多项高档特性。除了惯有的按钮、LED 和一个 USB 调试接口的组合外，Nucleo 板还独具特色地配有两组拓展接口。第一组拓展接口坐落开发板外缘，是 Nucleo开发板上的标准接口。这些接口使得在测验及开发过程中能够轻松拜访方针微操控器的一切外围设备。第二组拓展接口嵌套在第一组拓展接口内部，兼 容 Arduino shield 板。此类接口撑持运用 Arduino Uno v3 拓展板（称为“Arduino shield 板”），使得 ST 的 Nucleo 板能够拜访数十个兼容 Arduino 的拓展板，增加了拜访量。Arduino shield 板撑持多种运用，包含以太网、LCD 显示器、GSM 语音及数据通讯、ZigBee 通讯、WiFi 网络连接、电机操控、音乐及声响合成器等等。

Nucleo 开发板与数家开发东西供货商的商品兼容，包含 IAR Systems 和 Keil Tools 的 C 编译器。Nucleo 开发板也撑持根据GNU 的免费集成开发环境 （IDE）。Nucleo 开发板还撑持免费 mbed IDE，然后疾速、轻松地实现方针微操控器的拖放编程。此外还撑持ST-LINK 调试器，在开发板上装备时还可不运用 USB 连接器，ST 的其它商品也撑持此调试器。
