In many ICs and ASICs, the turn-on sequence of multiple powersupplies is critical. Equally important is the timing betweenthe turn-on of the various supplies. In Series 2600 (non-A)instruments, the precision of the delay between the turn-on ofvarious power supplies was limited by the command executionof sequential command lines. The following command sequence might be used to program a 200µs delay between the turn-on ofSMUA and SMUB:
reset()smua.source.levelv = 0
smub.source.levelv = 0
smua.source.output = smua.OUTPUT_ON
smub.source.output = smub.OUTPUT_ON
smua.source.levelv = 5
delay(200e-6)
smub.source.levelv = 3.5
图3给出在2602型数字源表上执行前述序列的结果。实际延迟接近1.5ms,比预设值多7倍。此外,对于连接至TSP-Link网络的每个节点,命令执行时间也都有所增加。
Figure 3 shows the results of executing the precedingsequence on a Model 2602. The actual delay is nearly 1.5ms,more than 7 times the programmed value. Furthermore, thecommand execution time is multiplied for each node connectedto the TSP-Link network.
