我是驱动菜鸟，正在看ndis协议驱动，其中有一个环节是关于绑定网卡的例程：
protocolChar.BindAdapterHandler          = NdisProtBindAdapter;
请问一下：
NdisProtBindAdapter函数是系统发现网卡存在的时候就会调用吗？
我现在安装了这个驱动，然后用CreateFile函数打开这个驱动设备，为什么书本上说还要等待驱动绑定网卡完成后才可以调用WriteFile函数发送数据那？

硬件自动实现，如果你打开失败，要么未绑定，要么没有连接网卡。

你的理解基本正确。当网卡插入时，NDIS 会protcol driver 的bind 函数来将protocoal driver 和miniport driver 绑定。
DDK 原文“When a NIC becomes available, NDIS calls the ProtocolBindAdapter function of any protocol driver that can bind itself to that NIC. When a NIC is removed, NDIS calls the ProtocolUnbindAdapter function of any protocol driver that is bound to that NIC.
