Quality engineer

Main Responsibilities:

·        Monitoring quality performance of theCMs and training up CMs quality team. Maintain and improve the quality level of CMs

·        Implement and enhance the qualitystandards to documentation procedures like QCP, SIP, and production spec

·        Communicate and develop the qualitylevels with CMs to ensure consistent and high quality standards

·        Ensure some main process such as PCBA/Chip/Modules/batterycompliance with the company quality standard

·        Perform auditing on CMs &sub-contractors meet company quality standards

·        DFMEA review with local team

·        Responsible to define developmentreliability test plan, DOE for feasibility study

·        Responsible to define the functional,UI, audio performance test plan

·        Tracking CM engineering build/pilot runtesting

·        Review production equipment, process,operations, workflow in pilot run

·        Review production testing followproduct requirements/specification

·        Responsible to perform the fieldtesting

·        Responsible for product materialcompliance including Rohs/Reach/Prop65

·        Responsible to follow up with 3rd partylab and Legal for certification testing and approval likeCE/FCC/IC/RCM/KCC/SRRC…etc.

·        Lead MP release review with functionteam

·        Responsible for MP ramp up and workwith CMs to resolve the top issues

·        Responsible for the ORT (On goingreliability test) and control plan

·        Coordinate with QC (Quality control) forinspection readiness

·        Follow up CPAR with CMs; support rootcause analysis investigations of any product failures.

·        Lead the regular quality review meetingwith CMs

·        Field return root cause analysis anddrive the improvement solution with CMs and function team

·        Drive continuous improvement of qualitysystem and product quality using standard methods like six-sigma, SPC…etc.

·        Provide related training to the team asneeded

Main Requirements

·        Bachelor degree ofelectronic/electrical engineering

·        Good communication skills

·        Good ability of oral and writtenEnglish

·        Above 5 years of working experience inquality position of consumer electronic products;

·        Battery, power bank, headphone design& manufacturing experience preferred

·        EE and ME experience and knowledgepreferred

·        Proven ability to analyze and solvingproblems and maintain a continuous improvement philosophy (Mechanical andElectrical)

·        Capable in working with world classchip/modules suppliers on resolving all quality issues

·        Experience in using quality tools likeSPC, 6-sigma, FMEA, 8D, DOE…etc.

·        Understanding of IPC-J-Std andIPC-A-610 standards

·        Familiar with regulatory agencyrequirements for electronic products like CE/FCC/IC/RCM/SRRC/NCC

·        Understanding of Headphones technology,Bluetooth, Wireless, Noise Cancellation technology and testing

·        Understanding of analog/digital audioand RF circuits.

·        Practical experience in manufacturingenvironment, production automation, line validation, equipment & testingprocedure

·        Experience of Supplier/Process Audit,Product Inspection, Quality & Production Improvement

·        FAE experience is preferred

·        MSA knowledge

·        Frequently travel to CMs (GD area) isneeded

Electronics Engineer

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

•     Works within a team todevelop, validate, and commercialize a variety of electrical design projectsfor consumer level audio products including wireless technology, TWS, ANC,sensor technology, and audio performance optimization.

•     Reviews and completes projectdocuments for accurate specification and quality assurance.

•     Reviews and completes projectEE test flow chart, PCB debug, RF antenna optimization and all the FA analysis.

•     Generate the EBOM, EE database, and maintain in Arena system

•     Reviews operational proceduresto ensure compliance with applicable policies and performance measures, oractively support the product regular compliance tests.

•     Support the team to make theproper decision for the EE changes according to the ECR/ECN Process.

•     Working proactively on theprojects continuous improvement.

•     Complete the tasks assigned bymanager and timely report to manager.

•     Plans, schedules, orcoordinates the preparation of documents or activities for multiple majorprojects.

•     Routinely interacts withclients, customers, suppliers, contractors, and others.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

•     BS Degree or above inElectronics, 5 – 8+ years’ experience on BT headphone and speakers.

•     Experience with Bluetooth, TWSand ANC products system design and integration, test and debug PCBA, andfamiliar with acoustic quality improve   

•     Schematic design and PCBlayout experience.

•     Experience with CSR or otherBluetooth chip platform design ,and BQB test requirement

•     Experience with PADS softwareand ECM,EMI compatible on PCBA design

•     Experience with developing andvalidating the manufacturing process and test set up

•     Skillful communications andcoordination.

•     Ability to work underpressure.

•     Fluent with written English.Good oral English skills will be preferred.

•     Frequent travel is required.

Firmware Engineer     

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

•     Responsible for the design,development and implementation of embedded firmware for Skullcandy products andtechnologies by planning, improving and managing firmware from concept toproduction.

•     Allocate resources to completeprogramming projects, and designing detailed plans to ensure firmware isdelivered on time and on quality.

•     Technical documentation forfirmware design, implementation and operation.

•     Debug, troubleshoot systemlevel problems and maintain existing software/firmware

•     Develop firmware in C, C++,assembly and other programming languages as needed.

•     Integration of 3rd partyfirmware libraries

•     Design new control, userinterface, and other algorithms as needed

•     Implement firmware oncontemporary platforms including CSR ADK, Cypress PSoC, and others as needed.

•     Work with electricalengineering team to develop circuit design

•     Develop BSP (board supportpackages) as needed for new hardware and assist in new hardware bring up anddebug

•     Test and validate firmware onevaluation, prototype and production hardware platform

•     Participate in internalresearch and development of new technologies, and products.

•     Work with Oscilloscopes, Logicanalyzers, Signal generators, etc.

•     Design and developcommunication protocols, standard and proprietary for device communications viawireless and wired technologies.

•     Work closely with ElectricalEngineers, Quality Engineers and Mechanical Engineers creating custom solutionsand bringing up new and innovative hardware designs.

•     Participate the each projectsNPI detail builds. Reviews and supports the production line test fixtures&test firmware approval.

•     Reviews operational proceduresto ensure compliance with applicable policies and performance measures, oractively support the product regular compliance tests.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

•     BS Electrical Engineering and4+ years' firmware development experience or equivalent.

•     Problem Solving- ability tosee the big picture and act on it

•     Experience with

o     developing and debugging embedded firmwareon custom hardware platforms

o     BSP development and basic device interfacese.g., IIC, SPI, PIO, button debouncing and interfacing

o     integrating 3rd party firmware libraries aplus

o     Test Driven Development a plus

o     CSR/Qualcomm ADK strongly preferred

•     Proficiency with ISRs,concurrent execution, RTOS and multitasking in embedded environments

•     Computing Languages:Proficient in C, C++ and assembly on various processor platforms (CSR, ARM,Cypress PSoC), Python and other scripting languages a plus
